New Detroit’s Compassion Capital Initiative (CCI)


New Detroit is proud to announce it is conducting two (2) additional "Informational Meeting" for organizations interested in participating its Compassion Capital Initiative (CCI).this is the sixth year of awards from the Compassion Capital Fund under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families. The purpose of the initiative is to support organizations in the following areas: leadership development, organizational development, program development, revenue development strategies, and community engagement.
 
This support will strengthen infrastructure and efficiency of your organization by:
 
1. Increasing your effectiveness and sustainability
2. Enhancing your ability to provide social services
3. Expanding your organization
4. Diversifying your funding sources
5. Creating collaborations to better serve those most in need

A complete list of the eligibility criteria will be provided during the Informational Meeting. The minimum criteria for an organization to attend is listed below.
 
 * Be faith or community-based organization.
 * Be incorporated in the State of Michigan.
 * Have organizational budget under $700,000.
 * Serve populations in at least one of the following counties: Wayne, Oakland or Macomb counties.
 * Serve at least one of the following groups: at-risk youth, elders in need, homeless, families and individuals in
    transition from welfare to work, prisoners re-entry programs, children of prisoners, and those in need of
    rehabilitation such as addicts or prisoners.
 * Must attend at least one Informational Meeting for New Groups only.
 
If you are interested in attending an Informational Meeting, you must:
 * Register as a New Detroit website user to gain access to the qualification questions.
 * Complete the qualification questions.
 * Register for one of the informational meetings
 
LOGIN INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Middle of the page, right side look for the New Detroit login section. If you have a username and password, log in.
  • If you do not have a username and password, click on create an account, when you create an account with your information, log out and re-login with your new account information.
  • Once you have logged in, go to the top left side, click on Capacity Building, the screen will change, then go to the far right top corner and click on Grant Collaboration, (just under Contact Us) another screen will pop up with two boxes, one with your information and the second will be the qualification questions, click on start follow the instructions and fill out the questions.
  • After you answer the qualification questions, mark them final, based on your answers you will be told if you qualify for the Subaward Strategy or the Technical Assistance Strategy.
  • Once you qualify another section  will pop up, it will be the Events section, click on register for events, register for the Informational Meeting you would like to attend, only register for the meeting that fix your group (i.e.; New Groups)
  • Close and log out, we will see you at the meeting!
