Free Health Care Forum

Free Health Care Forum on Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the International Preparatory Academy, 4201 W. Outer Drive, Detroit. Many people representing different groups and agencies will be on hand to help you with applications. The Institute for Population Health with offer help signing up for programs including Medicaid; the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program; and the Maternal Infant Health Promotion program. The state of Michigan’s Children’s Special Health Care Services will offer information on lead poisoning and will also offer immunizations for children who need them. The Detroit Medical Center will offer free blood pressure screenings and readings. Detroit EMS will offer CPR training and demonstrations and a video on first aid training.
